They are made of polyamide silicon and can be hand washed in cold water and left flat to dry. Purchasers are saying in their reviews that they can wear these gel petals iwht tank tops, dresses, halter tops or other pieces of clothing where is not a good plan to be wearing a bra with straps. The cups seem to stay in place unless they get wet which can cause them to lose their stickiness although I have not read a review where a cup actually detached from a breast.
